Treehorn Books

Treehorn Books is a general used bookstore located in downtown Santa Rosa, California, offering a wide variety of books for sale, including paperback copies of recent bestsellers, out-of-print hardbacks, and rare and collectible books.

The store began as a collaboration between two friends who shared an interest in literature, history, and the collecting of books from years past. The families of the founders have been involved in the running of the store, with Grant Hotaling, Keith’s son, now serving as the de-facto store manager.

Treehorn Books sells used books in over 100 individual categories, including paperbacks, hardbacks, recent editions, and vintage copies. They also sell new releases in select categories, such as fiction, travel, and local interest, as well as remaindered books at sale prices. Additionally, they maintain a Rare Book Room, open by appointment only, featuring out-of-print titles, first editions, autographed books, and limited editions.

The store is actively involved in buying and selling second-hand books, and they are interested in purchasing books on many different subjects. They can be reached by phone or email to inquire about selling books, and they offer house calls for larger collections. Treehorn Books is located at 625 4th Street in Santa Rosa, and they can be contacted at 707-525-1782 or treehorn@sonic.net.
